Development Assistant (Temp)

Beacon Hill is partnering with a nonprofit arts and cultural organization seeking a Development Assistant for a temporary assignment. This role will work closely with the Development leadership team to assist with donor stewardship, gift processing, reporting, event coordination, and day-to-day departmental support.
Key Responsibilities

Process and track donor contributions, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and timely acknowledgments

Prepare donor correspondence, stewardship materials, and other fundraising communications

Maintain donor records and assist with database management

Generate reports, donor lists, and fundraising analytics as needed

Conduct donor and prospect research to support development initiatives

Assist with the creation and distribution of fundraising materials and collateral

Manage department calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics

Coordinate committee meetings, prepare materials, and document meeting notes

Respond to donor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service

Support fundraising events, donor engagement activities, and other special events

Assist with general administrative functions including filing, data entry, mailings, and document management

Collaborate with internal teams to support departmental goals and organizational initiatives
Qualifications
-
0-2+ years of administrative, coordinator, or support experience in a professional office environment
-
Prior experience supporting fundraising, nonprofit, arts, or membership-based organizations is preferred
-
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated customer service and relationship-building abilities

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
-
Experience working with donor databases, CRM platforms, or fundraising systems is a plus
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
