Position Overview
Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a nonprofit organization to identify a Grant Billing Specialist to support their finance team. This role will focus on grant invoicing, reimbursement tracking, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements in a grant-funded environment.
This is a hybrid, temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent role for the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Review grant and contract activity to ensure expenses align with approved budgets and funding requirements
- Prepare and submit grant invoices, including compiling supporting documentation for reimbursement
- Review expenses and apply appropriate billing and cost allocations
- Track grant receivables and revenue activity, including maintaining schedules and performing reconciliations
- Maintain billing timelines, reports, and documentation to support audits and internal reviews
- Partner with program teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Communicate with funding agencies and external partners to resolve billing or reimbursement questions
- Support additional finance-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Experience working in a nonprofit or grant-funded environment
- Familiarity with reimbursement-based grants or contracts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
