HR Coordinator (Contract / Onsite)
Location: Onsite Dallas 75225
Schedule: Monday-Friday Flexible (7:00-4:00, 7:00-5:00, or 8:00-5:00)
Pay Rate: $24+/hour
Type: Contract (potential to convert to full‑time based on performance)
Overview
Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Coordinator to provide immediate onboarding and pre‑employment support. This role is fully onsite and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume HR environment and enjoys follow‑through, organization, and working closely with people.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer onboarding for new hires from offer through day one
- Monitor and track background checks and pre‑employment drug screens
- Coordinate occupational medical exams as required
- Process DOT authorizations and motor vehicle reports
- Communicate directly with candidates to collect personal information and schedule requirements
- Run reports, enter accurate notes, and maintain highly confidential records
- Follow up with candidates, managers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of all pre‑employment steps
- Provide status updates and clearly communicate delays or issues when they arise
- Support the HR team with additional administrative duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR or administrative experience, ideally supporting onboarding or pre‑employment processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage highly repetitive, process‑driven work
- High level of integrity with proven ability to handle confidential information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize daily responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable working in an open office environment with frequent interaction
- Professional, positive, and people‑oriented demeanor
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Experience
- HRIS experience (PeopleSoft a plus; other systems acceptable)
- Exposure to applicant tracking or onboarding systems (e.g., Taleo)
Work Environment
- Fully onsite, open office setting
- Fast‑paced with fluctuating workloads (some slow days, some very busy days)
- Requires punctuality, accountability, and consistent follow‑through
