Our client is seeking a professional, approachable Receptionist to support a large, fast‑paced New York office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being front‑of‑house, thrives in a client‑facing environment, and can multitask with confidence and composure. The position is fully onsite five days per week, with rotating shifts to ensure coverage between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and internal staff, delivering a warm and professional experience
- Manage incoming calls including screening, routing, and message handling
- Oversee visitor registration and issue visitor passes
- Schedule and manage conference room reservations
- Maintain a tidy, professional, and welcoming reception area throughout the day
- Monitor conference rooms to ensure cleanliness and reset rooms between meetings
- Assist with catering setup and breakdown for client and internal meetings
- Receive, organize, and unpack office deliveries and shipments
- Support continuous office operations including dishwasher cycles and pantry upkeep
- Provide backup coverage to other administrative staff as needed
- Perform ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of receptionist, administrative, or customer‑service experience in a professional services environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
- Calm, thoughtful decision‑maker under pressure
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Approachable, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40lbs as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to $60K-$70K base salary + paid overtime + discretionary bonus
