Our client, a tech startup, is seeking a Workplace Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and candidates, setting a welcoming and professional tone upon arrival. This role is responsible for managing the front desk and ensuring the office operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis. The position is fully in-office and based in Flatiron, New York, with on-site hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days a week. Responsibilities include overseeing visitor check-ins and security protocols, managing incoming calls and workplace communications, and acting as a resource for general office inquiries. The Workplace Assistant also supports office operations by handling mail and deliveries, maintaining shared spaces, monitoring inventory and supplies, and coordinating maintenance requests. Additional duties include assisting with new hire onboarding, coordinating meetings and events, and providing hospitality support for guests and visiting employees. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with IT, Security, and Workplace teams, along with support for ad hoc projects. Qualified candidates will have at least one year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, office coordination, or hospitality role, along with strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and a team-oriented approach. Compensation for this position is up to $75,000 annually.
