Beacon Hill has partnered with an analytics company in downtown Chicago in hiring a Data Entry Specialist to start immediately. The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of key data across systems. This individual will play an essential role in supporting operational efficiency by maintaining high-quality records and identifying discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate data across multiple systems and databases
  • Review and verify data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Compile, sort, and organize information for data entry purposes
  • Perform routine data quality checks and resolve discrepancies or errors
  • Maintain electronic files and records in an organized, accessible manner
  • Generate reports and extract data as requested by internal teams
  • Assist with data cleansing and migration projects
  • Follow established data entry procedures and organizational standards
  • Communicate with internal teams to clarify missing or incomplete information
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion
  • Support administrative tasks related to data management and recordkeeping
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity and accuracy benchmarks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of data entry or administrative experience
  • Strong typing skills with a high level of speed and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience working with databases, CRM systems, or ERP platforms preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic analytical skills to identify data inconsistencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
