Our client is seeking is a Temporary-to-Permanent Receptionist to join their NYC team as soon as possible. The ideal candidate is upbeat, proactive, and excited to be the face of the office. This role is highly interactive and hands-on, requiring someone who enjoys being on their feet throughout the day, greeting guests, maintaining conference rooms, and ensuring the office runs smoothly. The role will be 5 days on-site and hours will be from 8am-5pm. Compensation is up to 70K.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests, clients, and visitors entering the office
- Coordinate visitor check-ins with building security and escort guests to meeting rooms
- Manage conference room scheduling and meeting room preparation
- Assist with food and beverage setup for meetings, including coffee, tea, breakfast, and lunch service
- Restock office pantry, snacks, coffee stations, and supplies throughout the day
- Monitor office appearance and proactively maintain clean, organized common areas
- Respond to emails and administrative requests in a timely and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls (light phone volume; approximately 3-4 calls daily)
- Support the administrative team with additional office coordination tasks as needed
- Collaborate closely with the front office team to ensure seamless daily operations
Qualifications
- Strong customer service mindset with a positive, professional attitude
- Prior experience in hospitality, retail, restaurant, concierge, or customer-facing environments highly preferred
- Open to candidates without prior corporate office experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate office needs proactively
- Someone who enjoys being active and on their feet throughout the day
- Highly dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career within a corporate office environment
