Hans Kissle – Logistics Analyst

Our client, a confidential food manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a Logistics Analyst for a full-time temporary assignment in Haverhill, MA. This position pays $19.44/hour and works Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The role supports transportation, freight, and supply chain operations while leveraging analytics and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency, control costs, and maintain service levels. This assignment is expected to last at least one month and will continue until a permanent hire is made.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track daily transportation and freight activities to ensure on-time delivery
  • Analyze freight spend, carrier performance, and transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Support rate negotiations, freight bids, network optimization, and shipment consolidation initiatives
  • Assist with invoicing, discrepancy resolution, freight accruals, and budget tracking
  • Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Planning, and Customer Service teams
  • Maintain transportation procedures and support continuous improvement projects
  • Provide shipping support, including processing Bills of Lading, checking in drivers, verifying trailer temperatures, and maintaining shipping records

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 0-1+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support operational decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus
  • Interest in analytics, forecasting, AI-enabled logistics tools, and process improvement
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
