Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking an Investor Relations & Portfolio Operations individual to join their team on a temporary basis with potential to convert in Bethesda, MD.
About The Job:
* Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic planning, prioritization, and execution across operations, technology, portfolio management, and client services teams
* Translate leadership priorities into structured project plans, deliverables, and measurable progress updates
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and operational risk management
* Standardize documentation, procedures, and workflows across departments to improve organizational effectiveness
* Oversee vendor relationships, including due diligence, performance monitoring, RFP coordination, and cost management
* Support budgeting, forecasting, invoice processing, and operational infrastructure administration across multiple departments
* Lead change management initiatives, gather stakeholder feedback, and drive adoption of enhanced processes, systems, and workflows
* Serve as a central liaison across departments, facilitating communication, alignment, and execution of firmwide initiatives and special projects
About You:
* Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
* 4+ years of experience in finance, investment management, private equity, or a related industry
* Experience supporting operations, portfolio operations, technology, or business management functions
* Proven success managing cross-functional projects and driving execution in complex environments
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
* Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization abilities
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
* Demonstrated ability to work strategically while managing day-to-day operational responsibilities
* High level of accountability, ownership, and attention to detail
About The Position:
* Start Date: ASAP!
* Temporary assignment for several months with potential for extension.
* $35-$43/hr
* Hybrid: 3 days onsite (typically Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
