Our client, a mission driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Communications Assistant to join their team on a long term temporary basis in Washington, D.C.
About The Job:
- Create and edit communications content, including articles, newsletters, speeches, talking points, and advocacy materials
- Support digital communications across websites, social media, email campaigns, and other platforms
- Collaborate with global teams, coalition members, and partners to amplify advocacy efforts and highlight impact
- Manage multiple communications projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines
- Support communications operations, including vendor coordination, documentation, and project tracking
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of communications, public relations, digital communications, or related experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Experience with CMS platforms, email marketing tools, social media management, Canva, or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Self-starter who can work independently and adapt to ambiguity
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP!
- $23-$26/hr
- Salary: $57K-$60K
- Temporary leave coverage through approximately November 2027
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite
