Position Overview
We are seeking a Branch Manager for a well-established building materials and construction supply company. This role will be responsible for overseeing branch operations, leading a team of employees, driving sales growth, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a strong focus on safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster long-term customer relationships.
- Lead branch operations with professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Drive operational excellence through best practices focused on safety, quality, service, and cost efficiency.
- Identify and act on sales opportunities to support branch growth.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, deliveries, and staff performance.
- Recruit, coach, and develop employees to support succession planning and team growth.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance branch performance.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and P&L responsibilities.
- Supervise exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees.
- Partner with sales teams to strengthen customer relationships and improve revenue performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Experience within the building materials, construction, distribution, or related industry preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and DOT inspections.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel
- Local travel required.
- Less than 25% travel.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and perform physical duties as needed.
