Our client is seeking an organized, proactive Associate to support grant-making, research, and strategic initiatives within a leading healthcare-focused nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to initiatives focused on improving healthcare affordability and quality. Hours are generally 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm with flexibility as needed, and the role follows a hybrid schedule with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, management, and evaluation of healthcare-focused grants and strategic initiatives
- Maintain project management tools, trackers, reporting systems, and collaboration resources
- Monitor grant deliverables, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics
- Coordinate meetings, prepare materials, take notes, and synthesize key takeaways for leadership
- Conduct research, environmental scans, and due diligence on potential grantees and partners
- Support research contracts and healthcare market analysis projects
- Assist with the review and quality control of grant materials, reports, and stakeholder communications
- Track developments in healthcare policy, employer-sponsored insurance, and commercial healthcare markets
- Coordinate cross-functional projects involving internal teams and external partners
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to gather insights and support initiatives
- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for senior staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare strategy, healthcare operations, project management, program management, benefits administration, or related fields
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information and conduct research
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Advanced Excel skills preferred but not required
- Master of Public Health (MPH), MHA, MPP, or related graduate degree is a plus
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to 87K base salary + bonus
