Leave Administration and Accommodations Manager

A leading professional services organization is seeking a Leave Administration & Accommodations Manager to oversee enterprise-wide leave and accommodation programs across a multi-state workforce. This role will serve as the subject matter expert on FMLA, ADA, PWFA, disability, parental leave, and state/local leave laws while partnering closely with HR, Legal, Benefits, Payroll, and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex leave and accommodation cases from intake through return-to-work.
- Lead the ADA interactive process and accommodation requests.
- Oversee the firm’s third-party leave administrator.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze trends and improve leave and accommodation programs.
- Develop policies, training, and employee resources.
- Manage and mentor a Leave & Accommodation Specialist.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leave administration, accommodations, benefits, or HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, disability, and multi-state leave laws.
- Experience handling sensitive employee matters and vendor management.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior people management experience.
- SHRM or PHR/SPHR certification.
- Law firm or professional services experience.
- Experience with Workday, AbsenceSoft, MetLife, or similar platforms.
