An established nonprofit is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented Service Coordinator to serve as a key point of contact for community members seeking assistance and support. This individual will manage front desk operations, provide exceptional customer service, connect individuals with internal programs and community resources, and help ensure visitors receive timely and accurate information regarding available services. The Service Coordinator plays a critical role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the organization’s mission of improving lives through community-based programs and services.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community members.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Prepare correspondence, resource materials, reports, and other administrative documents.
- Conduct intake conversations to assess client needs and identify appropriate services.
- Educate community members about programs and services offered by the organization.
- Connect individuals and families with internal programs and community-based resources.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of service oriented work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Strong computer skills including MS Suite applications
- Ability to practice patience, compassion, and empathy
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
