This part-time Development Assistant opportunity offers $26/hour for approximately 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule (ideally 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday). The position is onsite in Cambridge, MA and supports the fundraising and donor relations efforts of a nonprofit higher education/Jewish campus organization. This is an 8+ week contract assignment with potential to convert into a full-time permanent role, and the hiring process consists of a single video interview.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with students, alumni, families, donors, staff, and visitors
- Update and maintain spreadsheets and donor databases
- Draft correspondence including emails, letters, and thank you notes
- Assist with fundraising events and campaign administration
- Track donor information and manage follow-up outreach
- Support administrative projects related to development and fundraising initiatives
- Provide administrative support to leadership, including scheduling meetings
- Coordinate catering and event setup
- Process and reconcile expense reports
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Administrative support experience preferred
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and database management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Comfortable interacting with donors, students, alumni, and senior staff
- Event coordination and scheduling experience is a plus
