We are working with a national law firm that is looking for a contract Compensation & Benefits Coordinator to support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and compensation programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, supporting employees, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and appropriately route employee benefits questions
  • Support Open Enrollment activities and administration
  • Process benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and audits within the HRIS
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment updates with vendors
  • Prepare and customize benefits reports in Excel for internal stakeholders
  • Assist with benefits compliance activities, including ACA 1095-C forms, SF HSCO, and other required reporting
  • Maintain benefits-related content on the company intranet
  • Process and reconcile benefit vendor invoices
  • Coordinate employee wellness initiatives and programs
  • Audit and maintain job descriptions
  • Benchmark positions using compensation surveys and market data to help establish competitive salary ranges
  • Complete compensation surveys through job matching and data submission
  • Support the annual compensation review process
  • Assist with additional compensation and benefits projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources, benefits, compensation, or finance
  • Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is preferred
  • Working knowledge of health and welfare benefits administration
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
  • Experience in Workday is preferred
  • Proficiency with Outlook and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn new HR systems and technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately and maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
