Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary basis with potential to extend in Landover, Maryland.
About The Job:
- Provide hands-on HR generalist support across onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, training, and organizational development
- Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, compliance, and employment regulations
- Assist with talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, scheduling, and HR administrative needs
- Maintain HR files and handle confidential employee information with discretion
- Work independently within a small HR team while managing shifting priorities and deadlines
About You:
- 2+ years of HR experience, ideally with broad HR generalist responsibilities
- Experience with onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, HR policies, and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered
- Strong communication, organizational, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- ADP experience, nonprofit experience, and SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Self-starter who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working independently
About The Position:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Through the end of February, with potential to extend
- $20/hr
- Schedule: 25 hours/week, ideally 9:00 AM-1:00 PM daily with flexibility between 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
