Bilingual HR Specialist (English/Spanish)
Location: Onsite, M-F, 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire), Hourly
Position Overview
We are seeking a Bilingual HR Specialist who is fluent in both English and Spanish to support a growing workforce. This role is ideal for an HR professional with at least one year of experience who is looking to expand their career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource for employees while supporting recruiting and a variety of HR functions.
A critical component of this role is the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish-not just translating words, but accurately conveying context, intent, and professionalism in sensitive workplace conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition (40-50%)
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and professional positions
- Source, screen, and interview candidates
- Coordinate hiring activities and onboarding processes
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
- Maintain applicant tracking and recruitment records
Human Resources Support
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation
- Support HR programs, documentation, and compliance activities
- Maintain employee records and HR data
- Provide bilingual communication support for employees and management
Additional HR Functions
Depending on the candidate’s background and experience, responsibilities may include:
- Benefits administration
- Safety and compliance initiatives
- Performance management support
- HR reporting and special projects
- General HR administration
Qualifications
Required
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- Ability to communicate and interpret workplace discussions accurately and professionally
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in HR, recruiting, employee management, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business applications
Preferred
- Experience in recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition
- HR, management, retail leadership, or employee relations experience
- Exposure to benefits, safety, performance management, or general HR functions
