Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a prominent full-service law firm seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support sophisticated, high-value real estate transactions. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented paralegal with hands-on experience reviewing title, survey, zoning, and other due diligence materials in connection with complex commercial closings. The position is based in Washington, DC and offers hybrid flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze title commitments, title policies, and underlying recorded title documents.
  • Interpret ALTA surveys and zoning reports to identify potential issues impacting commercial real estate transactions.
  • Review and summarize declarations, REAs, CCRs, leases, estoppels, SNDAs, UCC searches, lien searches, and judgment searches.
  • Prepare and review UCC financing statements and assist with closing and post-closing documentation.
  • Coordinate directly with attorneys, title companies, underwriters, surveyors, zoning consultants, and internal teams to keep diligence matters moving forward.
  • Manage multiple active transactions at different stages while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all client and firm matters.

What You Bring

  • Strong commercial real estate transactional experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Hands-on experience with title, survey, zoning, UCC filings, due diligence, and lease abstracting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and outside contacts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and real estate-related research and due diligence tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably within a law firm.
  • Paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Experience reviewing title, survey, zoning, and other commercial real estate due diligence materials.
