About the Role
Will design, develop, and optimize advanced Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for enterprise-grade, AI-driven Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, leveraging frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hugging Face Transformers. Architect scalable and production-ready deep learning pipelines, incorporating few-shot and zero-shot learning paradigms to enable robust intent recognition and semantic understanding from limited annotated data. Conduct in-depth linguistic and statistical analysis of customer utterances collected from live IVR environments to extract key features, identify patterns, and surface data-driven insights for model enhancement. Preprocess and normalize unstructured conversational data using spaCy, NLTK, and custom NLP scripts for tokenization, lemmatization, named entity recognition (NER), and noise reduction, ensuring high-quality input for downstream models. Operationalize conversational AI pipelines on Kore.ai and Voiceflow platforms, integrating intent classifiers and dialogue flows into live virtual assistants with real-time performance monitoring. Collaborate cross-functionally with PMO, QA, engineering, and business analytics teams to translate business needs into ML deliverables, manage model lifecycle through versioning, retraining, and AB testing, and ensure seamless deployment into IVR infrastructure. Execute large-scale data mining from production SQL databases to retrieve utterance logs and user interaction datasets. Design and automate Power BI and Tableau dashboards to visualize key KPIs such as intent deflection rate, bot containment, and escalation triggers. Leverage LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT-3/4 and custom fine-tuned BERT variants) for advanced intent classification, context disambiguation, and fallback response handling. Explore and evaluate their integration for multi-intent detection strategies. Implement batch testing frameworks for validation of NLU models, ensuring robust performance post-deployment. Proactively contribute to innovation by researching and piloting next-gen AI solutions focused on conversational intelligence, sentiment analysis, intent coverage analytics, and multimodal understanding.
Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
