Litigation Associate Attorney – Detroit
A highly regarded Detroit-area litigation boutique is seeking an attorney with at least two years of litigation experience to join its growing practice.
This is a unique opportunity to build a sophisticated litigation practice handling complex recovery matters on behalf of major insurers, corporations, and other institutional clients. While prior subrogation experience is welcomed, it is not required. Attorneys with backgrounds in commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance litigation, product liability, transportation, or other complex civil litigation are encouraged to apply.

Position Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and trials
- Analyze liability, causation, and damages issues
- Work with experts, investigators, and corporate representatives
- Develop case strategy and evaluation recommendations
- Maintain direct client contact and provide regular case updates
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Michigan bar license or ability to obtain admission
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
- Experience in commercial, construction, insurance, transportation, product liability, or other complex civil litigation preferred
- Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation matters while collaborating within a team environment
