Summary:
Leads daily production line operations on the second shift (3pm-11pm) and serves as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting, equipment performance, and process improvements. Ensures safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting operators and collaborating cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production line to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
- Troubleshoot equipment/process issues and minimize downtime
- Support quality standards, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S)
- Train and mentor operators; support onboarding and cross-training
- Communicate production status and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications:
- HS diploma/GED; technical training preferred
- 3+ years manufacturing/production experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, process)
- Prior team lead or leadership experience preferred
Core Skills:
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Team leadership in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of safety, quality systems, and Lean principles
- Basic computer/data entry skills
