Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting)
We’re partnering with a growing financial services organization to add an Senior Accountant to a high-performing, collaborative team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong public/corporate accounting foundation who wants to take ownership of financial reporting, close processes, and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial results, trends, and variance analysis for leadership
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Coordinate with external auditors and maintain strong documentation and controls
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance and business stakeholders to support decision-making
- Process and manage accounting workflows (including specialized invoicing and reporting activities)
- Perform ad hoc analysis and research to support business initiatives
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve process efficiency, automation, and reporting capabilities
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements in systems, data usage, and analytics
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience; public accounting background strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of general ledger, financial statements, and close processes
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and comfort working with large data sets
- Experience improving processes through automation, systems, or data-driven solutions
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and insights
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner across teams
- Exposure to financial services or investment-related concepts is a plus
