We are currently partnered with a renowned real estate who is seeking a Controller to manage their commercial real estate portfolio and a team of 6 property accountants who handle those assets. This Controller reports into the AVP Controller while collaborating closely with the Residential Controller, who oversees their residential portfolio, and the Corporate Controller. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the accounting operations of a property portfolio, mentor and develop a strong property accounting team, and implement process improvements and system changes as the company continues to grow.

They are looking for candidates with at least 10 years of experience within the real estate space, specifically within commercial real estate. Ideally, the commercial properties have been in the Manhattan market or NYC metropolitan area. Because you will be managing a team of 6, strong supervisory experience is necessary. A Bachelors degree in Accounting or related is required and a CPA is a plus.
