Beacon Hill is partnering with a non-profit in Manhattan to bring an experienced Staff Accountant to their team on a contract basis. This role is responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, assist with financial statement preperation, monitor grant spending and grant budgets, ensure compliance with donor restrictions and funding requirements. If you have 3+ years of staff accounting experience, please apply!
Key Responsabilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain the general ledger
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Monitor grant spending and grant budgets
- Prepare grant reimbursement requests and grant-related reports
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
