Senior Project Accountant

This is a hybrid, 3-5+ month contract opportunity located in Arlington, TX ideal for an accounting professional with strong project costing, WIP/CIP, revenue recognition, and financial analysis experience within project-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage project revenue, costs, accruals, and profitability reporting
* Support percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP/CIP, and project billing activities
* Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables
* Analyze project performance and investigate cost and margin variances
* Partner with project managers to review forecasts and financial results
* Assist with commissions, inventory-related accounting, and audit support
* Contribute to process improvements, automation efforts, and system enhancements
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
* 5+ years of project accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and project costing
* Experience with milestone-based, long-term, or cost-reimbursable projects
* Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience; NetSuite experience preferred
* CPA and construction, engineering, infrastructure, energy, or utility industry experience are a plus
