Beacon Hill is partnering with a company in Midtown Manhattan to bring an Accounting Assistant to their team. This role will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities while ensuring accuracy and timely processing of financial data. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting a finance team. If you have 1+ year of experience, please apply!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment application, and vendor/customer communication
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records within the accounting system
- Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile invoices, vendor statements, and internal records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with preparing financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management review
- Maintain organized files and documentation for accounting transactions and audit support
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status, discrepancies, and financial inquiries
- Support general administrative and accounting tasks, including billing, expense reports, and document management
- Assist with process improvements and system updates to enhance efficiency within the accounting function
