Beacon Hill Staffing Group is working with a growing organization to identify an experienced AR/AP Manager in the New York City area. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who excels in accounts receivable, billing, collections, and process improvement within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, account reconciliations, and customer account maintenance.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice review, approvals, and payment coordination.
- Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and help improve cash collection efforts.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer inquiries.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, customer service, and sales to address account-related matters.
- Prepare AR aging, collections, and cash flow reports for management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure financial records are up to date.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing, collections, and AP processes, increasing efficiency and strengthening internal controls.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting function.
- Experience managing customer accounts, aging reports, and collections activities.
- Strong understanding of billing systems and financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Experience with billing or revenue management systems.
- Telecommunications, technology, subscription-based, or recurring revenue industry experience.
- Previous experience supporting process improvement initiatives or system optimization projects.
