STAFF ACCOUNTANT: DETAILS
Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Nashville TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $28-$30/hour
Type: Contract to Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday | Standard Business Hours
REQUIREMENTS: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
* 1+ years of staff accountant experience
* Strong understanding of and experience in applying generally accepted accounting procedures in a corporate setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES: STAFF ACCOUNTANT
* Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
* Preparation and distribution of preliminary and final monthly Profit and Loss Statements, Financial Reporting Interaction with Executives, DVP’s, RVP’s and location managers/directors
* Document and maintain accounting procedures
* Balance Sheet analysis to improve and shorten closings
* General accounting support
* Essential Balance Sheet Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
* Bank Reconciliations & Cash Reconciliations
* Fixed Assets
* Document and maintain accounting procedures
* Balance sheet detail analysis
* General accounting support
* Sales Tax Returns
* Port Fee Returns & Analysis
* 941 reconciliations
