Job Summary: Senior Contract Administrator
Beacon Hill has partnered with a respected organization in the Washington, DC area seeking a Senior Contract Administrator. This position will be responsible for managing complex procurement and acquisition activities, including contract administration, acquisition planning, solicitation development, vendor negotiations, and procurement compliance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in federal acquisition and procurement practices, strong project management skills, and the ability to independently manage high-visibility contracting initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex procurement and acquisition activities from planning through contract award and administration.
- Develop acquisition strategies, statements of work, procurement documents, and contract specifications for a variety of procurements, including non-standard and construction-related contracts.
- Manage the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, and administration of contracts in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on procurement regulations, contracting procedures, and acquisition best practices.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to identify requirements, establish procurement objectives, and ensure successful contract execution.
- Analyze contract performance, resolve procurement-related issues, and facilitate dispute resolution when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition regulations, agency policies, procurement laws, and contractual obligations.
- Support acquisition governance initiatives, procurement process improvements, and policy development efforts.
- Prepare and present procurement analyses, reports, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed contract documentation and procurement records to support audits and regulatory reviews.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to perform analysis, reporting, and contract management activities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to procurement staff as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Government, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, acquisition management, contract administration, or related disciplines.
- Experience managing complex procurement and contracting activities within a regulated environment; federal government experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contracting regulations, procurement laws, acquisition principles, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with acquisition planning, contract negotiations, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and stakeholder support.
- PMP, FAC-C, FAC-P/PM, or DAWIA equivalent certification required.
