Interim Accounting Manager (Accounts Payable)
Location: Roanoke, TX
We are seeking an Interim Accounting Manager to lead high-volume Accounts Payable operations in a fast-paced environment. This role will oversee process improvements, team leadership, and ensure accuracy and compliance across AP functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AP sub-ledger integrity and related general ledger accounts
- Manage full-cycle AP processing, including 3-way match, disbursements, and bank reconciliations
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations, flux analysis, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., 1099s, unclaimed property, SOX)
- Drive process improvements, KPIs, and operational efficiencies
- Oversee vendor management, dispute resolution, and debit balance collections
- Manage EFT/EDI processes, vendor master data, and AP systems
- Partner cross-functionally with accounting, treasury, tax, and IT
- Lead, mentor, and develop AP staff
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience
- ERP experience required; SAP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
