Job: Project Scheduler

Location: on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract to Hire with strong chance of permanent conversion or extension
Pay Range: $40-70/hour, depending on experience and skill set

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler with a strong background in scheduling, accounting, and programming to support complex, high-visibility accounting projects in a regulated environment.

This individual will play a critical role in developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, ensuring alignment between schedule, cost, and resource data to support Earned Value Management (EVM) and overall project success.

This is a full-time, on-site position operating on a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to work extended hours Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off. Occasional travel to clients or project sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools
  • Align schedule data with cost and resource tracking to support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, Earned Value Analysts, and Cost Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure accuracy across project data
  • Track project progress, identify risks or delays, and provide timely status updates and reporting
  • Coordinate resource allocation (personnel, equipment, etc.) to ensure milestones are met
  • Identify scheduling risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure all scheduling practices meet government regulations and contractual requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Act as a liaison across teams to communicate schedule updates and project impacts
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members as needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project scheduling, project controls, or related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and project controls practices.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred, but candidates eligible to obtain clearance can also be considered.
