Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a Senior Accountant for our client in the St.Louis Metro Area. This role is Hybrid based and offers pay ranging from $38-$43 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial results, identify budget-to-actual variances, and provide explanations
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, tenant receivables, security deposits, and escrow accounts
- Monitor and report on restricted funds, replacement reserves, and other financial accounts
- Partner with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies and support reporting needs
- Review and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support
- Coordinate audit requests and work directly with external auditors
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
- Support property transitions, including opening and closing bank accounts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within property management
- Experience with Yardi preferred, but not required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
