Our client, a high-end luxury brand based in New York City, is seeking a Part-Time Contract HR Consultant to support its growing organization for 10-15 hours per week. This is a unique opportunity to partner directly with leadership as they rebuild culture and implement best-in-class HR practices across a small NY and California presence. In this role, you will act as a trusted HR advisor, assessing current policies, identifying compliance risks, and implementing scalable processes across HR operations, employee relations, and compliance in both NY and CA. The ideal candidate brings a consultative, solutions-oriented approach, balancing compliance with practical business needs while effectively guiding and educating leadership. - Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally at the Senior Manager or Director level.
- Background supporting retail and/or manufacturing employee populations, required.
- Strong experience with both New York and California employment laws and compliance, required.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, and policy development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders.
- Flexible, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Mostly remote, with occasional onsite presence in NYC as needed.
The pay for this role is $50-$70/hour.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
