Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter

Location: Madison, WI
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Interview Process: 30-minute virtual meetings
Project Duration: Currently planned through the end of the year, with strong potential for extension and even conversion to FTE

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruiting while partnering closely with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners.
This position will support hiring across clinical laboratory, operations, and manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive recruiter who understands the talent market, can develop effective sourcing strategies, and is highly organized and process-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, candidate evaluation, interviewing, offer development, and offer acceptance.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand open positions, business needs, and required qualifications.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage qualified talent.
  • Build strong candidate pipelines for entry-level through mid-level positions.
  • Utilize digital platforms, social networks, community networks, and other sourcing channels.
  • Evaluate candidates against position requirements and organizational needs.
  • Coordinate and manage the interview and assessment process.
  • Develop and negotiate competitive job offers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide recruiting updates throughout the hiring lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and recruiting records in the ATS.
  • Support high-volume recruiting needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze recruiting and HR data to help inform hiring strategies.
  • Represent the organization at recruiting events as needed.
  • Support recruiting projects and other talent acquisition initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 2+ years of corporate/in-house recruiting experience.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience, particularly for entry-level through mid-level positions.
  • Demonstrated success building meaningful candidate pipelines in high-volume environments.
  • Strong sourcing skills and understanding of where to identify talent in the market.
  • Experience writing targeted job postings and using social networks to identify and develop candidates.
  • Strong process management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday ATS experience.
  • Recruiting experience within healthcare or related industries.
  • Experience supporting commercial, manufacturing, scientific, corporate, clinical laboratory, or operations functions.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Data analysis and storytelling skills.
