Senior Real Estate Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting and finance team supporting financial reporting, month end close activities, and general accounting operations. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and collaborating across multiple business functions to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to complex accounting processes and cross functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities

* Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules

* Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances as needed

* Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely completion of accounting activities

* Assist with cash management activities and general ledger maintenance

* Support reporting initiatives and provide financial information to internal stakeholders

* Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation

* Assist with external audits and various compliance related activities

* Ensure accounting practices align with internal policies and established accounting standards

* Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures

* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and workflows

* Partner with cross functional teams to support financial operations and reporting initiatives

* Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred

* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

* Experience working within deadline driven environments

* Advanced Excel skills and experience working within accounting systems or ERP platforms

* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in fast paced or complex business environments

* CPA or CPA track preferred but not required

* Experience supporting audits, financial reporting, or multi entity accounting environments is a plus
