Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Trust & Estates Planning Paralegal to join a midsized firm that is nationally recognized. This is a full time (35 hour work week), permanent position, 100% Remote (may have to go in-office time to time), full benefits, and competitive compensation ranigng from $100,000 to 120,000
About the Opportunity
A highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its growing Private Wealth practice. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, high-net-worth individuals, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries while managing sophisticated probate and estate administration matters from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of probate and estate administration, from opening estates through final distribution and closing.
- Prepare and file probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, receipts, releases, and other court-required documents.
- Coordinate the collection, valuation, and distribution of estate assets.
- Communicate with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, appraisers, and accountants.
- Establish and maintain estate and trust accounts and assist with asset transfers and trust funding.
- Gather financial information and supporting documentation for estate, fiduciary, and gift tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation and review of Forms 706 and 709 and related tax filings.
- Maintain accurate case files, calendars, and deadlines while ensuring compliance with court requirements.
- Provide exceptional client service and maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client matters.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience, with a strong focus on probate administration.
- Experience preparing probate court filings and managing estates through the full administration process.
- Knowledge of estate and trust administration procedures, asset transfers, and fiduciary matters.
- Exposure to estate, gift, or fiduciary tax filings is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
