Trademark Paralegal (Remote)
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Trademark Paralegal to join its team. This is a full‑time, remote role supporting attorneys within a busy intellectual property practice focused on trademark prosecution and enforcement matters. This position will work closely with a Trademark Supervisor and a dedicated group of attorneys, managing assigned clients and handling a mix of U.S. and international trademark work.
This role operates on a 40‑hour work week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time. The position is fully remote, with occasional expectation to visit a local office if needed. There is a billable requirement of approximately 1,300 hours, with most paralegals averaging closer to 1,400-1,500. Overtime is available for those interested, as the team maintains a strong workflow. The salary range for this position is $100K-$140K, depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trademark paralegal seeking a high‑level, client-facing role within a collaborative and fast-paced IP practice.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in trademark prosecution and is comfortable independently managing multiple clients and deadlines. This role is well suited for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and client service.
Skills required and Job Duties include the following:
Job Duties:
- Support trademark prosecution practice, including preparation and filing of U.S. and international trademark applications
- Draft and prepare filings such as Office Action responses, Statements of Use, renewals, and related prosecution documents
- Handle TTAB filings, including oppositions and cancellations
- Correspond with foreign associates regarding international filings and enforcement matters
- Communicate directly with clients regarding the status of trademark matters
- Maintain and update IP docketing systems and track deadlines
- Prepare client reports and docket summaries related to trademark matters
- Manage incoming files and ensure proper documentation and organization
- Conduct U.S. and international trademark searches and assist with clearance reviews
- Accurately capture billable time and maintain detailed records
- Maintain organized electronic files within the document management system
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of trademark and/or copyright prosecution experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark rules and procedures
- Experience working with IP docketing systems
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Prior law firm experience preferred; in-house experience will also be considered
