Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a highly active plaintiff-side attorney to identify a litigation paralegal with demonstrated trial attendance experience who can provide hands‑on, in‑court support. This position is 100% on‑site and requires a paralegal who has previously attended trials and actively supported trial proceedings, not someone limited to pre‑trial or observational work.
This role supports a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice handling a wide range of personal injury matters, with exposure to mass tort cases as well. The attorney you will support routinely takes cases to trial and relies heavily on their paralegal for substantive trial preparation and on‑site trial support. Candidates must be comfortable working fully in the office and attending multiple trials per year.
This opportunity is ideal for a paralegal who thrives in a fast‑paced litigation environment, enjoys meaningful responsibility, and wants to play an integral role in trial preparation, trial attendance, and trial execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and trial
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, expert meetings, and court deadlines
- Prepare trial binders, witness files, exhibit lists, and trial demonstratives
- Provide hands‑on trial support and attend multiple trials per year, including at least one trial currently scheduled for April/May
- Assist with case investigation, medical record collection, and damages documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely case information within SmartAdvocate
- Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Perform additional administrative and litigation support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience required; personal injury experience strongly preferred
- Proven trial attendance experience required, with substantive involvement before and during trial
- Experience supporting multiple trials from preparation through verdict
- Mass tort experience is a plus but not required
- Strong command of litigation procedures, court rules, deadlines, and trial preparation
- Proficiency with SmartAdvocate or similar legal case management systems
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
- Ability and willingness to work 100% on‑site and attend trial proceedings as required
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
- Direct support to an attorney who actively tries cases – ideal for paralegals seeking real trial exposure and trial attendance, not purely desk‑based work
- A varied and fast‑moving docket that keeps the role engaging and challenging
- A confidential search offering the opportunity to step into a role with immediate impact in an active litigation practice
