About the Firm
This boutique litigation firm pairs large-firm experience and skill with the personalized client service and flexibility of a smaller practice. Its work centers on complex commercial and contract litigation, with a particular strength in business insurance coverage disputes, and its clients range from regional businesses to large national and international companies. The firm is highly regarded in its field and has a strong track record of results for its clients. The team values creativity, collaboration and persistence, and it prepares every case as if it will go to trial.
The Role
- This is a generalist role handling complex commercial litigation matters, with a strong niche in business insurance coverage and recovery disputes.
- Represent both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes contract, business tort and insurance coverage disputes, including bad-faith claims, in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
- Gain exposure beyond traditional litigation, including arbitration, mediation, settlement counsel work, legal triage and second-opinion engagements.
- Work directly with clients and firm leadership in a collaborative, team-based environment while litigating against some of the largest, best-known firms in the country.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial litigation experience (taking and defending depositions); insurance coverage experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills, with attention to the complex contract details others may miss.
- A collaborative, creative problem-solver who enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues.
