Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Litigation Docket Specialist to join its centralized docketing team. This remote position offers flexibility to work from home while aligning with one of the firm’s designated offices in the Central or Midwest region. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, litigation calendaring, and electronic filing procedures, particularly within Midwest and Central jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate data in the firm’s docketing and calendaring system, calculate rule-based deadlines, and prepare requested docket reports and calendar queries.
  • Monitor case activity through court websites and online resources, and respond promptly to inquiries from attorneys and legal support professionals.
  • Complete electronic filings in federal, state, and appellate courts and assist with service of court documents.
  • Provide additional support to the national docketing team as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least three years of litigation docketing experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure, litigation calendaring, deadline calculation, and federal and state court rules and filing requirements.
  • Experience with docketing platforms such as Milana or eDockets, court research and retrieval tools such as PACER and File & ServeXpress, and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and work overtime as needed.
