A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced construction attorney to join its practice in any of it’s Michigan offices – with preference for Eastern Michigan. This role will focus on sophisticated construction disputes, litigation, and contract matters for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex construction disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters
- Draft and negotiate construction and commercial agreements
- Handle motions, depositions, hearings, and other aspects of litigation
- Advise clients on contractual risk, claims, and dispute avoidance
- Manage key client relationships and collaborate with other attorneys
- Support the continued growth of the firm’s construction practice
Qualifications
- J.D. and significant experience practicing construction law
- Strong construction litigation and contract experience
- Experience independently managing sophisticated matters
- Excellent writing, advocacy, judgment, and client-service skills
- Trial or arbitration experience preferred
- Business development experience and an established client base are a plus
Compensation will depend on experience level and size of/any portable business, but is roughly expected to land between $250k-500k
