Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a California-licensed Contract Litigation Attorney to provide interim, as-needed support for a civil litigation practice in the Los Angeles and Riverside areas.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigator who is comfortable handling court appearances and can also provide substantive litigation support remotely as matters arise. Responsibilities include:
- Handle special court appearances in Los Angeles and Riverside, including Stanley Mosk Courthouse
- Assist with evidentiary hearings and other civil litigation proceedings
- Draft briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Assist with discovery and transcript review
- Provide additional litigation and potential trial support as needed
- Collaborate with attorneys on active matters
Qualifications:
- Active and in-good-standing California Bar license required
- Strong general civil litigation experience
- Prior courtroom and hearing experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and discovery skills
- Ability to work independently and step into matters quickly
- Flexibility to support matters on an as-needed basis
Details:
- Location: Los Angeles and Riverside, CA; non-court work can largely be performed remotely
- Schedule: As needed; hours will vary based on court appearances and workload
- Start: ASAP
- Pay: $65-$85/hour, depending on experience
- Reasonable travel time associated with court appearances may be compensated
- Interim opportunity with potential for ongoing work
