Beacon Hill’s client, a healthcare company with locations throughout California and a recently expanded presence in Nevada, is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its legal team. This role will involve significant healthcare regulatory, compliance, and risk management work. The company operates with a lean corporate team and is looking for an attorney who can adapt to a variety of legal matters as business needs evolve. The legal department is supported by an experienced Chief Legal Officer who serves the organization on a fractional basis and will be available to help the selected candidate get up to speed and answer questions as needed. The company also maintains relationships with influencers, sports organizations, and brand partners, including partnerships with professional sports teams.

Location: Onsite, 5 days per week – Pasadena, CA 91101. This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Duration: Ongoing, with potential for direct hire conversion based on business needs

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Pay: $100-$125/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications:
- Active California bar license in good standing

3+ years of experience as a healthcare attorney

Prior in-house counsel experience is not required; candidates practicing healthcare law in a law firm setting will be considered

Experience with medical professional liability matters or within the healthcare regulatory space

Prior HIPAA (federal) and California healthcare regulatory (state) experience is not required; training and mentorship will be provided as needed

Ability to support a variety of legal matters as business needs arise, including occasional intellectual property and trademark-related matters; prior IP/trademark experience is not required, and training and mentorship will be provided as needed

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs within an innovative and collaborative organization
