Grants Specialist (Contract)
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 2 days onsite/week)
Pay: $35-$40/hour
Duration: 26 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
A leading academic research institution is seeking a Grants Specialist with experience in pre-award research administration, budget development, and NIH proposal submissions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate grant proposal submissions.
- Develop proposal budgets and budget justifications.
- Ensure compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines.
- Support faculty and research staff throughout the pre-award process.
- Review grants, contracts, and subaward documentation.
- Provide guidance on federal, state, and private funding opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in grants management or research administration.
- Strong pre-award and proposal submission experience.
- Knowledge of NIH applications and funding regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (exemptions considered).
- Full medical clearance required.
