Credentialing Coordinator
Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site)
Organization Type: High‑volume orthopedic and ambulatory surgery network
Requirements
- 2+ years of credentialing experience within a healthcare system, physician group, or ambulatory surgery environment
- Strong working knowledge of provider onboarding, re‑credentialing, and payer enrollment (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
- Hands-on experience with CAQH; familiarity with Medallion or similar credentialing platforms preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Job Duties
- Manage initial credentialing and re‑credentialing for physicians, advanced practice providers, clinics, and ancillary providers
- Coordinate payer enrollment and ensure provider participation remains active and compliant
- Maintain and audit provider files including licenses, DEA registrations, and hospital/ASC privileges
- Monitor expiration dates and proactively manage renewals and ongoing compliance requirements
- Collaborate within a functionally specialized credentialing team (e.g., payer enrollment, ASC workflows)
- Communicate regularly with hospitals, ambulatory facilities, payers, and licensing boards
- Ensure all credentialing documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (on-site)
- Pay Range: $24-26/hour
- Employment Type: Contract (3-6 months) with potential for permanent conversion
- Start Date: ASAP upon background clearance
