Housing Clinician – Jamaica Plain, MA
Organization Type: Nonprofit social services organization specializing in supportive housing and behavioral health services
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field
- Minimum 1+ years of direct clinical experience supporting adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders
- Experience working with high-acuity, chronically homeless, or medically vulnerable populations
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction principles, and co-occurring disorders
Job Duties
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management teams supporting high-risk tenants
- Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and support crisis intervention efforts as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to coordinate care and support housing stability
- Deliver training and coaching to staff on trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and behavioral health topics
- Support tenants with complex needs using strengths-based, developmentally appropriate approaches
- Assist with psychiatric and substance use-related emergencies, including hospitalization and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems and participate in case conferences and team meetings
Additional Information
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday; flexible start between 7:00 AM-10:00 AM, 8.5-hour workday; no on-call requirements)
- Duration: Temporary contract (approximately 5-6 months; leave coverage)
