Requirements
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License required.
- Active PTCB Certification required (no exceptions).
- Sterile Compounding and/or IV Certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; 2+ years preferred, including sterile compounding experience.
Job Duties
- Compound sterile medications and IV preparations in a clean room environment under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Prepare, label, package, and dispense medications accurately while following company policies and state regulations.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure accurate medication dosages and preparation.
- Maintain clean room environments, pharmacy workspaces, and equipment according to compliance standards.
- Complete pharmacy documentation, temperature logs, cleaning logs, and medication records.
- Inspect equipment and report any defects or maintenance concerns.
- Support safe medication management practices and assist with reporting medication-related incidents.
