Counselor I – Outpatient Substance Use Services
Location: Spring, TX
Organization Type: Community-Based Behavioral Health & Substance Use Treatment Provider
Requirements
- Active Texas LCDC, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT license in good standing.
- Experience providing individual and group counseling services.
- Knowledge of psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and case management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Job Duties
- Conduct client intake assessments, orientations, and psychosocial evaluations.
- Provide individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services for clients participating in outpatient treatment programs.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs and progress.
- Facilitate substance use education and therapeutic interventions using approved treatment curricula.
- Monitor client progress, identify potential crises, and coordinate appropriate interventions and support services.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and records within electronic health record systems.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, client case reviews, and community referral coordination to support continuity of care.
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with one evening shift per week from 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Compensation: Up to $50,000/annually
Preferred Experience:
- Substance use disorder treatment experience.
- Experience utilizing electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
- Strong skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field preferred.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements
