QA Engineer (Oracle EBS / Automation Focus)
Role Overview
Own end-to-end quality for enterprise platforms with a strong automation-first approach, focusing on scalable test coverage, data validation, and release reliability across Oracle EBS environments.
Must Haves
- 5+ years in QA / Test Engineering supporting enterprise applications
- Strong hands-on experience testing Oracle EBS R12
- Functional expertise across ERP modules: P2P, OTC, Inventory, WIP, BOM, Project Accounting
- Strong SQL/data validation skills for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Automation experience using Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (UI, API, integration)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests
- Strong understanding of test design, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience working with Git/version control
Nice to Have
- Experience in media / entertainment environments
- Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing
Key Responsibilities
Quality Ownership & Strategy
- Own quality across platforms, driving automation-first test strategy
- Define and enforce automation standards, frameworks, and test data strategy
- Establish quality gates, coverage metrics, and defect trends for release readiness
- Drive risk-based testing across UI, API, integration, and data layers
- Partner with engineering to ensure testable design and observability
Test Planning & Prioritization
- Review requirements for gaps, ambiguity, and testability
- Define automation scope (UI/API/data) and estimate test efforts
- Prioritize backlog based on risk, production impact, and regression needs
Automation & Execution
- Design and build automated test suites for Oracle EBS workflows and integrations
- Implement reusable, scalable frameworks (page objects, service layers, utilities)
- Develop robust test data strategies (seeding, masking, repeatable environments)
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with fast feedback loops
- Expand coverage across functional and selective non-functional areas
Defect Management & Release Readiness
- Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution tracking
- Improve test reliability by addressing flaky automation and coverage gaps
- Provide quality release metrics (pass rates, pipeline health, risk indicators)
- Support UAT with clear validation criteria and test evidence
Documentation & QA Enablement
- Maintain QA standards, documentation, and best practices
- Coordinate with stakeholders on UAT execution and readiness
- Drive continuous improvement in quality, automation, and release stability
